Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

This policy explains what information MindMaxer collects, why, and what you can do about it. MindMaxer is run by Scott Neidig, doing business as Business Profile Builder ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and a password. We store the password only in a hashed form we can't read.
• Your study content. The collections, decks and cards you create or import.
• Study activity. Your ratings, when you reviewed each card, cards you created, and your study settings such as the timer length and theme.
• Feedback. Messages you send from the Feedback page, with the page you sent them from.
• Billing records. If you subscribe, Stripe gives us your subscription status, plan, invoice amounts and dates, and a customer reference. Stripe handles your card details. We never receive your full card number.
• Technical data. Your time zone, so study days line up with your calendar, and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, which we use to keep the service secure.

How we use it

We use your information to run MindMaxer: to sign you in, store and schedule your cards, show your progress, process subscriptions, answer your feedback, and keep the service secure. We don't sell your information, show you ads, or use it to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run MindMaxer, and only what they need:

• Stripe processes payments. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Our hosting provider stores the database and runs the servers.
• Google Fonts serves the site's typeface, so your browser contacts Google when pages load.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and local storage

MindMaxer uses only the cookies it needs to work. These keep you signed in, protect forms against forgery, remember your time zone, and carry one-time messages between pages. Your browser also remembers which collections you left open on the dashboard. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and study data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your content and study history. We keep billing records as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices and rights

• You can export your cards as CSV files at any time from the dashboard.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account, by emailing support@mindmaxer.com.
• Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR or California's privacy laws. Email us and we'll honor them.

Security

Connections to MindMaxer are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and payment details stay with Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you don't use anywhere else.

Children

MindMaxer isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
